He called for debates that are grounded in strong arguments and factual evidence, suggesting that such discussions can prevent unnecessary conflicts.
Modi took the opportunity to spotlight India’s recent accomplishments, particularly in the global arena and the space sector. He expressed admiration for the successes of Skyroot Aerospace, a private space startup, highlighting that the company’s team has an average age of only 28. This remark seemed to indirectly address Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, with Modi pointedly noting his reference to “young people” and not a “56-year-old youth.”
The prime minister’s comments underscored the increasing contributions of India’s younger generation to technological and space advancements, reflecting their aspirations and potential. These include proposed amendments concerning foreign funding regulations, taxation, higher education, judicial reforms, and the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Notably, one key legislative proposal seeks to expand the sanctioned strength of Supreme Court judges from 33 to 37, not counting the Chief Justice of India. This measure aims to address the backlog of cases and enhance the efficiency of the judiciary.
